Stainless Steel 347H is the high carbon variation of alloy 347, which has high creep resistant and improved temperature strengths. Columbium (niobium) is included in this high-temperature stabilized austenitic stainless steel mixture, which is used to resist intergranular corrosion resulting due to exposure to high temperatures. This characteristic renders it very appropriate in services where cyclic heating and cooling is exercised. By inserting carbon to 347H, its high-temperature mechanical characteristics are enhanced hence it is a very good product in pressure vessels and applications involving a lot of heat.
Our SS 347H Plates are exceptionally resistant to oxidation and scaling to high temperatures (up to 1500 oF (816 oC). They perform well and are easy to fabricate (even in various industries), thanks to a strong formulation, and its precise finishing, making them highly weldable and formable.
